Before you begin
You need:- an active Caretta account and the latest Caretta app;
- a HubSpot account where you have Super Admin or App Marketplace access; and
- permission to access the CRM records you want Caretta to use.
Install
The connection uses HubSpot’s OAuth authorisation. You do not need to copy an API key into Caretta.1
Open Caretta's Apps settings
Sign in to Caretta, open Settings, then choose Apps.
2
Start the connection
Find HubSpot in the CRM section, open it, and select Integrate. If another CRM is connected, disconnect it first.
3
Choose your HubSpot account
HubSpot opens in your browser. Sign in if asked, select the account you want to connect, and review the requested permissions. You need Super Admin or App Marketplace access in HubSpot to install an app.
4
Approve the connection
Select Connect app. HubSpot returns you to Caretta; the HubSpot row will show its connected date when setup is complete.
Permissions
Caretta requests contact read access as required. The remaining permissions are requested as optional so Caretta can use the features you enable.Configure
In Caretta, return to Settings → Apps and open the connected HubSpot row. All post-call options are off until you enable them.- Auto-save meeting notes — save Caretta’s generated notes to matched HubSpot contacts after a call.
- Save transcript to HubSpot — add the call transcript as a separate HubSpot note when auto-save is enabled.
- Confirm before HubSpot actions — have Caretta propose post-call changes for your review instead of applying them automatically.
- Post-call CRM updates — let Caretta add a call note, match or create relevant records, and update a deal stage from the call outcome. Optional custom instructions can narrow this behaviour.
Use HubSpot with Caretta
Manual sharing. Open a completed call in Caretta and choose Share to HubSpot. Confirm the matched contacts, search for another contact if needed, then save the meeting notes. Automated actions. If you enabled auto-save or post-call CRM updates, Caretta processes the call when its notes are ready. You can view post-call runs in Caretta’s Automations area. Enable confirmation if you want to review proposed HubSpot changes first.Disconnect and uninstall
